IMB Outfitters is the most renowned
whitetail deer outfitter in the Midwest.
IMB conducts both whitetail deer and turkey hunts
in Iowa, Missouri, Pike County Illinois, Nebraska, and
Kansas. In an
effort to educate hunters that are planning a whitetail
deer or wild turkey hunt with IMB Outfitters, it is
important to lay forth details surrounding arrival,
departure, and how are hunts are conducted.
The following narrative will supply hunters with
information regarding travel, arrival, departure, contact
phone numbers of each location, as well as a description
of how our hunts are conducted.
After covering the difference between a semi and
fully guided hunt we will provide travel info and contact
info on each of the 5 States we run hunts.
(Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska)
When
whitetail deer hunters or wild turkey hunters plan a hunt
with IMB Outfitters, they may select a variety of hunts.
They include the following:
Whitetail
deer hunters may elect to choose a fully guided, or semi
guided whitetail deer hunt when hunting with IMB
Outfitters. |
DESCRIPTION
OF SEMI GUIDED WHITETAIL HUNT WITH IMB OUTFITTERS
Any
semi guided whitetail deer hunt will involve more effort from the
hunter than a fully guided whitetail deer hunt.
A fully guided hunt is not a hunt where the guide sits with
you while hunting. Let’s
make that clear from the start.
Thus let us define a semi guided Midwestern Whitetail Hunt.
On a semi guided whitetail deer hunt, the hunter or group
of hunters will participate in a five day whitetail deer hunt.
You will arrive at the lodge the day before your hunt
actually starts, and leave the morning after your 5 day hunt ends.
IMB outfitters staff will help you remove your hunting
equipment from your vehicle, and get you a room at the lodge in
the State your hunting. All
lodges are exclusively owned and exclusively housing only IMB
Outfitters hunters. You
will find the lodges to be quite nice.
Complete with archery and gun ranges, the lodges provide
three meals a day, and all the snacks and drinks you can consume.
Lodging is included in the overall price of the hunt.
On a semi guided whitetail deer hunt, only after getting
you settled in the lodge you will be taken through a brief
orientation. After
which, on a semi guided whitetail deer hunt, you will be given
aerial photographs and assigned a farm or group of farms that only
you and your group will hunt.
Unlike other semi guided hunts ran by whitetail deer
outfitters, our semi guided land tracts are equipped with tree
stands already erected, and orange tape and glow end the dark
tacks every 30 yards to each stand site.
(Normally a semi guided hunt per Midwestern Standards do
NOT include treestands already in place, thus IMB offers a much
better semi guided whitetail deer hunt than most whitetail
outfitters and guides. The
day before your hunt starts a guide will take you to the farm for
your semi guided deer hunt. He
will explain how to travel to and from the location, as well as
show you where the tree stands are located.
The next five days of whitetail deer hunting, you are on
your own. You are
welcome to hang your own treestands, however we have found that
hunters that do so normally have lower success rates.
(Its best just to hunt our treestands on the farm.)
You will field dress and butcher your own whitetail deer,
transport yourself to the farm, do your own scouting, and will be
unable to switch to another farm if desired.
(The fully guided whitetail deer hunt is not performed in
this manner. On the
fully guided hunt you will have much more assistance.)
The semi guided deer hunt was constructed by IMB Outfitters
three years ago in order to meet the budget needs of the
financially challenged whitetail deer hunter, as these hunts are
much cheaper, however as I said, success rates are decreased on a
semi guided hunt. On
a semi guided deer hunt you will find your success rates will not
be as high as on a fully guided whitetail deer hunt.
Often times I hear whitetail deer hunters state at the end
of their five day semi guided whitetail deer hunt that by the time
they figured were to kill a trophy buck it was time to go home.
While semi guided hunts can be productive, A FULLY GUIDED
HUNT IS THE BEST.
DESCRIPTION
OF A FULLY GUIDED WHITETAIL DEER HUNT WITH IMB OUTFITTERS
Fully
Guided Whitetail Deer Hunts are often defined incorrectly in the
Midwest. Any fully
guided whitetail deer hunt is not a situation where a guide sits
with you while you are hunting.
I repeat, on a fully guided whitetail deer hunt you will
hunt alone from the ambush site.
Of course in locations like Africa, Alaska, and Texas high
fences, it is traditional that a guide sit with you while hunting.
This is the very reason the term “fully guided” is
often defined incorrectly for Midwestern whitetail deer hunts.
On
a fully guided whitetail deer hunt with IMB Outfitters, we welcome
you to the hunt lodge in the same manner as the aforementioned
scenario. You will
arrive the day prior to your hunt of whitetail deer, and be
greeted by our staff. We
will assist you in carrying your gear to a room at the lodge and
introduce you to the lodge staff, followed by a brief orientation.
On a fully guided whitetail deer hunt the orientation will
cover more material than the semi guided whitetail deer hunt
orientation. During
this orientation we will discuss with you aspects of the hunt
which include field scoring, whitetail deer strategies, whitetail
deer sightings, review a host of aerial photographs, as well as a
vast array of other things. After
the orientation is complete you will be assigned a hunt guide.
The hunt guide will transport you to and from the farms we
know we have big whitetail bucks patterned on.
The hunt guide will walk you to and from the hottest deer
stands IMB Outfitters leases.
While you are hunting for whitetail deer you're guide will
be scouting other farms and patterning monster whitetail bucks on
your behalf. It is
the job of the guide to stay a couple steps of head of you with
scouting techniques, to assure you are afforded a shot opportunity
at a record book whitetail buck.
Let us pause for an example in an effort to compare the
quality of a fully guided whitetail deer hunt verses the semi
guided whitetail deer hunt. Let
us imagine you invited me to your home for a week’s worth of
whitetail deer hunting. Let
us further imagine that when I arrived at your home you simply
pointed to a couple hundred acres and said “There's some ground
to go hunt, have fun.” While I might enjoy myself, my odds at
killing a trophy buck would be drastically increased if while I
was hunting you were scouting for me, and placing me on the
hottest tree stands available, near the biggest bucks you had
seen. This is the
difference between a semi guided whitetail deer hunt and the fully
guided whitetail deer hunt. Upon
you harvesting a whitetail deer your guide will take hero
photographs, field
dress the deer for you, transport the deer back to the hunt lodge,
hang the deer, cape of the deer, skin the deer, butcher the deer,
and place the deer in the cooler.
Therefore on a fully guided whitetail deer hunt the
advantages are great. Treestands
vary in type with box blinds, ladder stands, hang on treestands,
and tripods. You can
view the treestand setups on our stands and blinds page of the
website located at www.imbmonsterbucks.com

NEBRASKA
DEER HUNTS WITH IMB OUTFITTERS
In
Nebraska, IMB Outfitters provides possibly the best deer hunting
in Nebraska. Remember
we are located on the Kansas border in agricultural/white oak
forest terrain unlike Western Nebraska where whitetail hunting
isn’t as high quality. My
belief is our Nebraska deer hunts are the best among any deer
outfitter in Nebraska.
In Nebraska, the location is so secluded we have elected to
refrain from building a hunt lodge and utilize a brand new
borderline 4 Starr Hotel, or the Super 8 in Alma, Nebraska.
This facility is a brand new hotel.
It’s a beauty, complete
with, plasma big screens, wonderful food with meal tickets to the
finest restraints in the area at no extra cost.
An archery range and gun range are on site as well as
wireless internet services for you convenience.
Two
hunters occupy one spacious room with suites available.
The hotel Staff is very courteous and caters to our hunters
in appreciation of the business they are not able to obtain
locally due to a rural area.
Doc Fleishmann is a wonderful Hotel Manager and will make
you feel right at home. For
explicit directions to our Nebraska deer hunting hotel or for any
of our destinations we have a “trip information” page located
