My Missouri archery deer hunt was wonderful! It was prime time rut and the bucks were really on the move. Darrin and his guides had a great spot for me to hunt and encouraged me to hunt all day. So I followed ther advice. About 12:00 noon a doe cam blasting down the trail and I knew something was chasing her because she hid behind a brush pile,then out of the sunlight came this great buck just running and breathing hard. He ran passed her. When he got to me, I stopped him and got off a perfect shot. I gave him an hour to expire and my guide Dan and myself walked right to him....GREAT HUNT......
My Iowa gun hunt was my 2nd trip to Iowa and my favorite place to see big deer. The 2nd morning this awesome non-typical buck came back to his favorite tree rub. One well placed shot and he was mine. I nicknamed him "The shredder" because you had to see what he had been doing to that tree.... Another great deer hunt with IMB... thanks again! |
