Stealth Cam, the leader in scouting cameras, leaps forward with its new Prowler HD – the industry’s first Infrared Digital Video Recorder (IDVR), incorporating the latest, H.264 video compression technology. H.264 contains a number of new features that allow it to compress video much more effectively than older standards and to provide more flexibility for application to a wide variety of network environments, thus resulting in higher quality video at 30 FPS (frames per second). The 1280x760 format optimizes today’s wide screen televisions and computer monitors for greater image quality. Even more, the new Prowler HD now features audio recording capability. Not only will you be able to see deer activity, you can hear it! Adding to this new technology, the Prowler HD includes Digital Video Stamping. This allows the user to review the time-coding of the captured video by monitoring the year/month/day/hour/minute/seconds of the footage, as well as tracking the moonphase and temperature. The PROWLER HD, with its newly advanced optical technology truly becomes the ultimate scouting tool for the hunter looking to maximize his time in the field by monitoring deer activity 24/7.The high-quality H.264 video is capable of recording during daylight or dark, and allows the user to adjust the video recording time from 5 to 300 seconds per triggering! And with an external Memory SD memory card slot capable of handling up to 16 Gigs, there is plenty of time to capture footage to review the game activity. The technology doesn’t stop here.In addition to the video, the PROWLER HD is a full-function camera for still images. With 8 megapixel still images, this unique camera delivers extremely sharp, high-quality images during the day or night. All still images are stamped with date, time, moonphase and temperature information. The nighttime images captured by the PROWLER HD are made possible through the use of the 54 IR (infrared) emitters with an effective range up to 40 feet. The new microprocessor optimizes trigger time and when utilizing the patented Burst Mode Technology, trigger gap time is also reduced. And speaking of Burst Mode, the PROWLER HD can now capture between one and nine images per triggering. The PROWLER HD’s wide-angle coverage area captures animal movement enabling greater chances of catching that big buck sneaking around.The features don’t stop there. The PROWLER HD also has an enhanced, easy-to-use Icon-based program screen, making the set up time a snap. The newly designed housing is not only rugged, but waterproof, as well. It is fully capable of handling Stealth Cam’s external 12V battery pack for an even longer time in the field.
